Hiya! I thought I would start the blogs about my hair off by telling you how I normally like to style my sisterlocks. Now, other people may think differently but I personally LOVE curls. So after every wash, I always separate my roots, oil then do a braid set and leave them in for a couple of days so my hair is kinky when I take them out. I used to prefer them straight because it was easier to handle, especially at school but as I've gotten older I've found that the kinkiness suits me more. Its not about just having the locks, its about finding looks that suit you to make it your own. Different is good :D.

I also prefer platting my locks after a wash because it helps to prevent them from going frizzy once dry, the trick is to dry them until they are slightly damp and then to plat them. DO NOT plat them while they are soaking wet, especially if your locks are long because they will be too heavy and therefore may do more damage then good.

Here are a couple of photos from yesterday, I washed my hair on Friday and left the braids in till Sunday:

You can also style your sisterlocks with the braids if you want to, I used to feel that if I came into school with my hair in braids like that then it would look weird, but it really depends how you wear it, I don't even care anymore haha. Now I quite like my hair in the braids, and love it even more when I take them out. Here is an example of one of my outfits taken from my Instagram:
